or, a simple choice 
          thanks to the brave

 truth is in those things
 most important to all of us 
 where sameness finds a home

 truth though is only one
   and must be heard
 or the deluge of untruth
takes it down
 flooding into the info sludge
 crudding up its clarity
         
 as clear truth is smudged
 for a time it will seem as though
 befuddled, besmirched

yet it only languishes with perhaps
  fewer listening
    while even more are in need of it

 steadfast though its honor burns
 and in time brightly as those brave
   who nurture and hold its 
      sanctity in their hearts
 use the power of truth
  to bring peace and light to us all
